The programme for the QNetworks international workshop, organised by the Quantum Communications Hub, has been released. QNetworks 2022 will take place on 11 & 12 April 2022, in a hybrid format, with attendees able to join in-person in Cambridge and virtually.
The workshop aims to bring together researchers from the UK’s Quantum Communications Hub programme and similar initiatives across the world to discuss technological challenges and solutions for creating the next generation of quantum communication networks.
Giving the opening talk on the UK’s Quantum Strategy will be Rachel Maze of the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS). Rachel will be followed by Roger McKinlay of Innovate UK who will give an introduction to the UK’s Quantum Landscape, before handing over to a series of speakers from industry who will give their perspective on quantum networks.
Following the industry session, attendees will have the opportunity to attend a further three sessions: Progress towards the Quantum Internet; Quantum entanglement networking; and Devices for quantum networking, with speakers from around the world presenting.
