Launch of the National Quantum Communications Hub

York, 4 June 2015

More than 120 academics, researchers, students, industry representatives and policy makers from the world of quantum technologies gathered in York’s Ron Cooke Hub on the 4th of June to celebrate the launch of the Quantum Communications Hub – part of the new UK national network of four quantum technology hubs. The £24m York-led  Quantum Hub aims to deliver quantum encryption systems that will enable secure transactions and transmissions of data across a range of users in real-world applications in multiple environments: from government and the  public sector to  industrial and commercial worlds.
