Their role will be to support the development, performance testing and deployment of Continuous-Variable Quantum Key Distribution (CV-QKD) systems. CV-QKD is a form of QKD that promises high compatibility with existing optical networks due to its excellent filtering properties.
The new research associate will conduct research in the labs of the University of York and will collaborate with the thriving quantum community in York, which counts world-renowned researchers from the York-led Quantum Communications Hub and from the York Centre for Quantum Technologies, an interdisciplinary centre that includes activities in the departments of Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Mathematics and Physics.
The position is full time and is for a fixed term of 12 months.
Closing date: 12 January 2022
