EPSRC Quantum Technology Career Development Fellowships call now open

The call for the EPRSC Quantum Technology Career Development Fellowships, which are aimed at those working in the Quantum Technology sector looking to become independent researchers, is now live. The award provides the opportunity to carry out an ambitious programme of research and accelerate your personal and professional career development. Funding is available for 3-5 years.

The National Quantum Computing Centre is sponsoring a number of the fellowships, however, the call is open to applications from any area of Quantum Technology whether from industry, business or academia. You must be able to show how you will develop an independent career based on your own original research ideas and vision by the end of the fellowship.

In order to apply you must have either:

  • a PhD
  • or at least four years’ experience in a relevant field by the start of your fellowship.

There are no eligibility rules regarding number of years of postdoctoral experience or requirement for applicants to hold a permanent academic position.

EPSRC is holding a webinar on 19 August 2021 to answer questions about the call. You can register to attend via the UK National Quantum Technologies Programme website

For further information about the call and to apply visit the UKRI website
