Alongside other stakeholders of the UK National Quantum Technologies Programme, the Quantum Communications Hub will be taking Quantum City to the New Scientist Live Manchester science festival, scheduled to take place at Manchester Central between 12-14 March 2022. The exhibit will include a collection of exciting and interactive quantum technologies demonstrations to show what quantum technologies can do for us and what living in a ‘Quantum City’ might be like.
New Scientist Live is a multi-award winning festival and 2022 will be the first time it is branching out from London to the north of England. It will feature the same mix of thought-provoking talks, interactive exhibits and hands-on scientific experiences as the hugely successful London show. Over three days from 12-14 March 2022. at Manchester Central, New Scientist Live Manchester will feature three stages with numerous fascinating talks covering everything from the big bang to the future of artificial intelligence. With seating for over 2,000, visitors will be inspired by the line-up of world-class speakers presenting ideas that explain and shape our world from gene editing to cosmic expansion.
The heart of New Scientist Live Manchester will be a bustling 1,800 sqm exhibition space, wowing visitors with dozens of engaging exhibits from major STEM institutions and corporations plus interactive activities and inspiring features curated by New Scientist Live. 9,000 highly engaged visitors from across the north of England and Scotland will be inspired by what they hear, see and touch and have their passions awaken by new experiences and ideas.
