Institute of Physics Live Webinar: Quantum Technologies

Quantum Communications Hub Director, Professor Tim Spiller, will be giving an online talk on Quantum Technologies, with a specific focus on Quantum Communications Technologies, for the Institute of Physics Manchester and District Branch.

Abstract: Quantum technologies are new disruptive technologies in which fundamental aspects of quantum physics are instrumental in providing advantages over the conventional technology counterparts in areas such as quantum computing, sensing imaging and communications. Prof Spiller (University of York) will outline examples and illustrate their “quantum advantage”, before discussing the exciting topic of quantum communications in more detail.
